SCENT FREE ENVIRONMENT: No scented laundry products or chemicals, body products including hair, deodorant, perfume. Do not apply CBD oil before your massage.

Registered Massage Therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use, and many chronic pain conditions, with the manipulation of the body's soft tissues and joint, applied for both acute and chronic conditions. RMTs can work with a variety of patients in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation, and disability.

Some common conditions that benefit from Massage Therapy include: Stress related tension, Muscle Pain and Spasm, Back and Neck Pain, Rotator Cuff Injuries, Frozen Shoulder, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, TMJD, Tendonitis, Piriformis Syndrome (Sciatica), Scoliosis, Whiplash, Sports or Work Injuries, Plantar Fasciitis, Torticollis, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Runner's Knee, Sprains and Strains, Bursitis, Surgery Pre and Post Recovery, Myofascial Pain, Repetitive or Postural Stress or Strain, Headaches and Migraines, Circulatory and Respiratory conditions.

Registered Massage Therapists have 2-3 year post-secondary education in the clinical applications of health sciences in massage therapy settings; pass board examinations ensuring competency, safety and effectiveness; participate in yearly continuing education programs; adhere to standards in practice and ethics and practice in accordance with the Heath Care and Consent Acts.

Insurance and Reimbursement
Upon request you will be provided with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider. DIrect billing to Pacific Blue Cross and Canada Life is available for in office visits (only) starting on the 2nd visit. Insurance billing is not available for mobile treatments with Melissa

She graduated from Emperor’s College Massage Program in 2000 and recently completed a second 2 year diploma program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy.

Elissa brings the sensitivity and experience gained from a diverse background in holistic health as a certified nutritionist and yoga instructor, bio-energy medicine, and health coach to her massage practice.

Adept in both clinic and spa environments Elissa provides a therapeutic massage that addresses your areas of concern/condition combined with relaxation and stress reduction techniques.

Her treatments, tailored to your needs draw upon the following techniques: deep tissue to release muscle tension and restriction, traditional Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, passive and assisted stretching, hydrotherapy and those that support relaxation, stress reduction and promote a healthy nervous system.

Each appointment includes your assessment, a mutually agreed upon treatment plan, massage and finishes with stretches, exercises and relevant lifestyle modifications to support your recovery and well being.

RMTs provide a receipt for acceptance by your extended health benefits plan for reimbursement (providing your plan covers massage therapy).
